Outside

• Move cars from the driveway and the front of the property where possible.
• Put wheelie bins, hoses, tools and children’s toys out of sight.
• Mow the lawn and sweep paths.
• Uncover patio furniture. Open umbrellas only if conditions are suitable.

Throughout the property

• Open curtains and blinds to let in natural light.
• Turn on overhead lights and lamps; replace failed bulbs.
• Put away personal photographs, paperwork, valuables and anything you do not want recorded.
• Clear hallways of shoes and coats; hide loose cables where possible.
• Put away pet beds, bowls and toys. Arrange for people and pets to stay clear of rooms being captured.

Kitchen

• Clear worktops of everyday appliances and clutter.
• Remove fridge magnets, photographs and notes.
• Put away tea towels, washing-up liquid and sponges.
• Empty the sink and clear the draining board.

Bathrooms

• Close toilet lids.
• Remove toiletries from showers, baths and sinks.
• Hang clean, neatly folded towels.
• Put toilet brushes and bins out of sight.

Bedrooms

• Make beds and smooth the covers.
• Clear bedside tables of books, chargers and personal items.
• Put clothes and laundry away.
• Check under beds and on top of wardrobes for visible clutter.

Access

• Make sure someone can provide access at the agreed time.
• Unlock all rooms and areas included in the booking.
• Tell us about access restrictions, parking arrangements or safety issues before the visit.
